Mascarade is a contemporary artist based in Le Havre, France. He began his artistic journey in the 2000s, initially immersed in the world of graffiti. This early period was crucial for Mascarade, as the raw energy and immediacy of street art significantly shaped his future studio work. His experience in graffiti fostered a deep appreciation for the dynamic and spontaneous nature of artistic creation.

Mascarade’s artistic path continued with formal training in visual communication, a phase that played a pivotal role in his development as a painter. During this time, he balanced his work as a graphic designer with personal artistic exploration in his studio located in the St Francois district of Le Havre. After a prolonged period of introspection about his career as a graphic designer, Mascarade chose to leave his position at a design agency to pursue his passion for art full-time. In September 2015, he opened the Masquerade Shop in Le Havre, a unique space that functions as both a workshop and an art gallery. This venue allows him to showcase his work and create a space for artistic exchange.

Since 2016, Mascarade has expanded his reach by joining several galleries in France and Belgium, and participating in contemporary art fairs and events throughout France. He is also dedicated to community engagement, regularly working with young people in educational institutions and specialized programs. This commitment to teaching and collaboration reflects his desire to connect with contemporary issues and inspire the next generation of artists.

Through his exploration of various mediums and his dedication to both his personal practice and public engagement, Mascarade continues to contribute to the vibrant art scene in Le Havre and beyond.
