Growing up, it was always impressed on me that white represented, Purity, Good, maybe represented by Virginity? This particularly, I think in relation to women more than men but not exclusive, in the sense that it was chaste? As well as the Host in the ‘Holy’ Communion.

In some countries, probably Catholic, it was tradition to hang out the white bed sheet after the wedding night spattered with blood. What’s that all about? Is it a celebration of women hood or announcing she’s no longer pure?

In adulthood white or the idea of it has been proved to be anything but!

The early Crusades. The Crusaders and their horses are often portrayed wearing white tunics with red crosses. Is the red significant, to the bloodshed they spilt? For some the idea of White supremacy represented by the ideology of the Ku Klux Klan or the Arian Master Race and once again the Church and it’s so called ‘Holiness’!’ Now tells me/us that white now has a very different story.




This will be a limited print run of 15. All prints will be signed and numbered on the front and you will receive a certificate of authentication with your print.

The image size will be approximately 10x8, or what I consider sits aesthetically correct within an A3 paper format.

As a rule, I print my pictures on A3 Matte Archival Art Paper but occasionally I use a semi-gloss paper, this is because, I believe that the image will benefit. I reserve the right to make that decision on your behalf, unless of course you request otherwise.

Should you be interested in purchasing one of my pictures, it’s worth noting, that print colour may vary slightly depending on what system you are viewing the image.
