Hello, I am Mario Membreño, a Salvadoran artist and designer. I was born in 1968 in the city of Mejicanos in San Salvador, El Salvador. For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by drawing and crafts. I always liked to express myself through art and create new things.
At school, my classmates and teachers admired my drawings and I won several awards for my talent. When I finished high school, I studied architecture and graphic design, two careers that taught me how to design, build and supervise architectural projects, as well as create corporate images and brochures for different companies.
I was part of several musical groups that spread Salvadoran music and organized cultural events. I was in charge of the technical part, graphic design and event management.
One of the most important projects in which I participated was La Casa Tomada de El Salvador, a cultural space where artistic, educational and social activities were carried out. There, I was cultural manager and took care of the administration, logistics and technique of the events. It was a very enriching and rewarding experience.
As an artist, I have a wide range of options when weaving shapes and colors into my creations. With a strong base in drawing, the combination of these elements constitutes a primary tool for artistic expression, allowing me not only to transmit emotions and messages, but also to create a unique and distinctive visual experience.
