Mary Sea

Fine art has accompanied me throughout my adult life, from an early age I adored everything related to brushes, paints, paper. I cannot imagine my existence without painting, which gives us the opportunity to experience this world from the side of the senses. I like a lot of directions in painting, but my favorite ones are the marinas. The sea is an incredible, multifaceted element, it can be calm, gentle and peaceful, or it can be the opposite – restless, menacing, furious. The sea is very similar to human nature in many ways, depending on the situation, our mood can also change, as the sea changes depending on the weather. The sea element so perfectly describes the human character, our emotions and nature, that sometimes it seems that no one except the sea will be able to accurately convey my condition!

I wonder why the artist chose this particular color or theme? Surely each of you has thought about this question. Almost every person knows that an artist is an emotional person; it is through emotions that the creator translates his ideas onto the canvas. But emotions are expressed not only in the presented plot, but also in color, as well as the width of the stroke.        The artist always chooses exactly those colors that are closest to his emotional state at the moment. For example, if an artist chooses red shades, then this speaks of the following qualities: a stylish outburst of emotions, the will to win, dynamics. The brighter the shade, the more expressive is the desire for ideals. Too dark shades, close to brown, are evidence of reflection and thoughtfulness. Yellow color is associated with a person’s mental state; this color helps to concentrate attention. People who choose yellow colors are more likely than others to generate extraordinary ideas. Green color retains all the properties of yellow, but makes feelings more hidden, strong inner potential hidden from other people. Many people associate the blue palette with coolness and freshness, but if the artist resorts to dark shades, he is trying to express an unstable inner state. A more optimistic option - blue - inspires hope for the future. It is comfortable to perceive.

The size of the stroke is also important in analyzing the artist’s personality, for example, wider, sharper strokes are characteristic of impulsive and bright natures, but subtle drawings and detail are more characteristic of calm, systematic and responsible natures.

 The answer seemed obvious, but no. There are people who believe that you can just hang a photo print on the wall and admire it. It is impossible not to agree that the photo has a number of advantages, but it has much more disadvantages.  For example, unlike a real painting, you will not save a photographic product for many centuries, you will not be able to pass it from generation to generation so that some great-grandson will say: "This is our family heirloom, when I look at it, I immediately immerse myself in memories of home, and suddenly a feeling of warmth and tranquility appears inside me". Agree, it's so nice to have an unusual family heirloom that you will pass on to your descendants. The next important point is the durability of the painting. In addition to the fact that a real painting will fully decorate your home, it will not be so aggressively influenced by the environment, it will not fade in a year or two, unlike photos.
