Lionel Crotet (nel)

I live in central France, I have always loved art in general.My course is more atypical, I started painting in parallel with my job in aironeautique industry .I have gone through many books, exhibitions, and without following an academic path I began to paint my first paintings.

For more than 25 years, I have been painting landscapes, still lifes, portraits often on order.

I am always in search of the light, in the nature, where simply in my workshop arranges the few objects or fruits, for their colors.
I prepare my wood panels with several layers of gesso. This technique is as reliable as painting on canvas, it does not move in time.

For me the rendering is incomparable, smoother, the brightness of colors is intensified, especially for still lifes. I do not exceed certain formats to avoid distortion.

And of course I like to paint on large linens.

For about twenty years, I participated in several shows, and now I organize my solo exhibitions.
