Lihie Gendler-Talmor is a contemporary artist born in Tel-Aviv, Israel. She earned a B.Sc. in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Technion Institute of Technology in 1969, followed by a B.A. in Literature from the University of Tel-Aviv in 1971, where she taught until 1974. During this time, she also studied painting under Israeli artist Pinchas Abramovitch.
In 1980, Lihie moved to Caracas, Venezuela, where she enrolled at the Center of Study of Graphic Arts (CEGRA) from 1981 to 1983 and continued her painting studies at Walter Margulis’ studio. Since 1984, she has been involved in various art projects, teaching, and participating in courses and workshops across Italy, Belgium, the United States, Israel, Colombia, and Venezuela. Lihie currently resides in Israel, Venezuela, and India.
Her artistic practice encompasses abstract artwork, including art prints created from etchings and photography, as well as metal sculptures.
