Késsia Nay

I am a visual artist born in the city of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 1993. I started creating my first paintings, initially exploring the technique of acrylic on canvas, and later transitioning to oil painting.

From 2020 onwards, I deepened my immersion in creative processes and the poetics of my work. Since then, I have participated in exhibitions, joined an artist community, dedicated myself to executing artistic and cultural projects, and began teaching painting.

In my works, I explore the dynamics between time and freedom and their interactions with society. I investigate how these forces shape the human experience, examining the relationships and contradictions between ephemerality, permanence, freedom, and confinement.
