KB masterpieces are made by master Sandman's hands. They are telling a story and animate to philsophise.

This artwork is embedded in a 3 inch deep, mat black frame. With its black background it creates an extreme depth. You are looking into a black hole. That term has been established by a physician in 1967 and since then had appeared in numerous science fiction movies. Today everyone has an imagination about the name Black Hole.
Themes like the origin (not genesis) of the universe, stars and planets had been intriguing me since childhood. For me the Startrek series on the 1960ies was an enlightenment: the endless space, interaction with alien species on far away planets, travelling faster-than-light and above all, teleporting.

That time back it was all pure fiction. Nowadays serious scientists are seriously researching on those matters. Some of the fictions already became reality.
All those thoughts are woven into this artwork. In your fantasy you can nourish your imagination of a future interstellar species (Elon Musk), while you watch the artwork creating new never seen before miniature worlds.
You turn the picture and with that you change the world, you literally change the world. Every day a new planet, a new landscape is born thanks to your interaction.
We could say it is like quantum physics: something appears where was void before.

'Black Hole' has a diameter of 101 cm and the weight of 47 kilos / 103 lbs. The weight is coming from the extra thick panes needed for the sands to move slowly. It takes days to establish the perfect balance of sand, water and air.
Like any other of my artworks you can adjust the speed of the moving sands by changing the amount of air in the artwork. Evaporated water can be refilled. The necessary tools are included.
