Biography
Katya Lukianova is a contemporary Ukrainian artist. She uses a primitive style in her work, leaving out traditional elements like chiaroscuro, linear perspective, and other sorts of proportionality. Her paintings are typically plain in form and color. Modern artists like Gauguin, Picasso, and Matisse exploited the simpler shapes and more abstract figures of primitive art to revolutionize painting and sculpture. Primitive art deviates greatly from conventional European ways of representation in its use of these elements.
