Welcome to one and all. I've been a professional people photographer since the early 90s. Originally from London and now living in france since 1998.. dual nationality and fully bilingual. Specialising in fashion, press, street, documentary, portrait, advertising and contemporary photography.. basically if it involves people I'm your man..
After being born in Limassol/Cyprus with a camera in my hand, I took my 1st portrait of my mother at aged 10.. became fully interested in the subject at 16. This was followed by 5 years studies in the domain starting at 17 years old in the UK. I passed 3 separate diplomas : a 2 year National Diploma in general art and design, a 2 year Higher National diploma in photography, plus a 1 year Professional Qualifying diploma in photography.
Following the successful completion of these diplomas, I moved back to my home in London. After a couple of years putting together a portfolio, shooting fashion/beauty 'tests' with well known modele agents such as Elite and generally promoting myself, I got my 1st job as a press photographer for Associated Newspapers London (The Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday). I continued working on the fashion/beauty side.
During the years that followed I continued as a press photographer gathering experience and a large body of published work and was responsible for winning a national press photography contest for The Mail on Sunday 2 years in a row. I also started gaining a reputation, shooting advertising fashion and related clients.
In 1998 after falling in love, I moved to france, matters of the heart often get us in trouble. I have continued shooting ever since. My experience over the years include numerous clients in adverting, portraiture, personal work, publications, including the magazine Elle france and a couple of Exhibitions. My extensive body of work also spans different countries and cities such as Paris, London, Istanbul, Porto or Warsaw for example.
As a final note, the quote on my profile implies, my goal has never been glory, it has always been about showing the beauty around us, often things others don't notice, or telling a story through my eyes.. I merely wish to divert the viewer for a few moments to reflect, cause emotion or the ultimate compliment, to inspire.. it would be an honor, if possible, to leave behind a record of our times..
