Jérémie Iordanoff

Jérémie Iordanoff is a contemporary French abstract artist. Iordanoff uses pen, watercolors, and oil paints in his art, which he adds to the canvas using a traditional layering method. His works are vibrant, amazingly detailed compositions that invite the observer to interpret and discover meaning from their own psyche.

Iordanoff combines western modernist abstraction's visual languages with global aesthetic traditions, such as indigenous artists and ancient Rome's. Pattern, color, and line fascinates him. His compositions are hand sketched or hand painted, despite the fact that they are based on geometry. They celebrate the artist's human hand's faults, and are sometimes reminiscent of the quilting tradition.
