Igor Gusev was born in 1970 in Odessa; in 1991 he graduated from the Odessa Art School named after M. B. Grekov. His works are represented by such auction houses as Sotheby's and Phillips de Pury, and exhibitions are held in London, New York, Vienna, Kotor.
Igor Gusev's works have been repeatedly presented at the most prestigious exhibition venues in the country - in the "Mystetsky Arsenal" and in the National Art Museum of Ukraine. In addition to group exhibitions, the artist currently has about twenty personal exhibitions. He also acted as a curator of a number of projects, including: “To save the president. Parallel program ARSENALE 2012 ”, Dymchuk Gallery. Kiev, Ukraine, 2012 ”,“ Goodbye crisis ”, Odessa Museum of Contemporary Art, 2008,“ Empty Tunnel ”, Odessa Museum of Contemporary Art, 2008.
In 2008, Igor Gusev opened the gallery "Norma" in Odessa, over four years of work, which has hosted more than fifteen exhibitions, including exhibitions by Nikita Kadan and Miroslav Kulchitsky, Leonid Voitsekhov and Stas Podlipsky.
In 2007, Igor Gusev created an art association "Art-Raiders" in Odessa, which carried out a number of actions - "Art-Raiders for Peace", "Art-Raiders Against Vandalism"; but the main ones were more than twenty shares at the Odessa flea market - Starokonny market.
Since 1998 Igor Gusev has been exhibiting abroad - his first experience was participation in the exhibition "Labyrinth" as part of the 2nd Biennale of Graphics in Prague, followed by participation in group exhibitions in Moscow, Berlin, London, Vienna, Basel, Copenhagen ("Art Copenhagen 2015 »), Cologne. In 2016, in the Czech Ostrava, in the Jama 10 gallery, Igor presented his graphics.
