The premiere of the musical drama "The Tale of Tsar Saltan", which inspired Vrubel, took place at the Private Opera of S. I. Mamontov on December 21, 1900. Vrubel created sketches for scenery and costumes, and the part of the Swan Princess was sung by his wife Nadezhda Zabela-Vrubel.
The heroine of Vrubel is different from similar ones. The standard character is more bright, joyful, gets married. Vrubel's heroine is dark, mystical, detached. The atmosphere of twilight. In the painting, the artist combines light and darkness, air and water, cold and heat.
In the story, we see a Swan Princess retreating. Perhaps she is ready to turn into a bird. Perhaps it comes from a date with a lover. Twilight, sunset. The action takes place on the shore of a reservoir. The princess turns to the viewer.
In the work, the conflict is rather internal within the heroine. The princess does not look like a classic image, she has some kind of demonic nature, she breathes anxiety and mysticism.
Our task was rather to affect the viewer's feelings, to touch him with the atmosphere. The photo causes a feeling of anxiety, trouble, but at the same time it is very attractive to yourself. I want to think about the other world, what and how there is and how we get along with these creatures.
For the project, we used a designer suit from Elena Ship.

Yanina Ermakova fotografeert sinds haar 17e, maar pas sinds 2010 professioneel. Ze heeft verschillende genres uitgeprobeerd: van onderwerpfotografie tot huwelijksfotografie. Maar in 2019 ontdekte ze de wereld van beeldende kunstfotografie en besefte ze dat dit het soort fotografie was dat ze wilde doen. In zijn versie is kunst historische, fantastische, sprookjesachtige fotografie.
Ze duwt me constant in die richting: elk jaar plant en volgt ze een opleiding. Op dit moment heeft ze een vaste visagiste in mijn team die de meest gedurfde make-up doet. Ze werkt ook samen met de beste kostuumverhuurbedrijven in Moskou en de regio Moskou (Rusland). Ze werkt samen met decorateurs die bijna elke plek kunnen realiseren.
Zijn plannen worden elk jaar ingewikkelder. Ze regelt de hele organisatie zelf: van het idee tot de presentatie van de foto's aan het publiek.
Ze roept vragen bij haar op die voor haar belangrijk zijn en nodigt de kijker uit om over dit of dat onderwerp na te denken en te reflecteren.
Yanina Ermakova werd geboren in 1983. Ze woont in de stad Moskou in Rusland. Ze heeft tal van opleidingen gevolgd, waaronder die van het New York Institute of Photography van 2013 tot 2019. Ook nam ze deel aan tal van tentoonstellingen, ontving ze tal van onderscheidingen en publicaties.
