This is an image of a hand, incomplete—both the palm and fingers. This artwork is a mystery to me. It represents the coming and death of our Lord Jesus Christ. The part of the art that has no shape or outline, with the wall behind it, means He came unknown and unrecognized. The lawyers and others expected Him to come as a king from nobility. But He chose the form and content of one made poor.
