Giuseppe Cacciapuoti

Neapolitan painter, born in 1969 in Pozzuoli where he currently works. His artistic production includes portraits, still lifes and marine life where the bright colors are lost in a realism and sensuality skillfully rendered by the artist's hand. The recurrence in some of his portraits of the same female subjects, portrayed in different attitudes, recalls a bit the classical manner. The young women protagonists, with soft features and sensual poses, with different hairstyles, with light draperies that slide modeling the sinuous shapes of their bodies, let their purity of soul and at the same time their femininity shine through in their looks, giving the spectator a pleasant vision of beauty and seduction. Even in the male portraits we can grasp the depth of the soul of the characters where the artist was able to reproduce on the canvas, through his skilled chromatic work, plausible expressions and humble but significant attitudes. If we then delve into the repertoire of still lifes we can admire a rich variety of fruits arranged differently in small ornamental baskets, where the artist with his technique was able to capture their naturalness. Positano, Amalfi, Cetara, Pozzuoli, Bacoli are just some of the areas that the artist was able to portray with skillful mastery. Clusters of small houses set in the mountains enhance the great coastline with their shades and layout, while below the sea welcomes countless colorful boats. Likely scenarios that reveal the beauty of these places and the artistic ability of the painter who was able to portray even the smallest details, giving us clear landscapes. Here too he masters a lively but at times subtle chromaticism. Everything is lost in the brilliance of the waters where houses and surroundings are reflected and in the blue of the skies sometimes veiled by vaporous white clouds. Lights and shadows dominate the scenarios. An artist, albeit young but talented like him, cannot fail to exhibit his works not only in Italy but also abroad; so that his artistic qualities can be admired everywhere.
