Genadiy Polevoy (1927-2017) was a Ukrainian graphic artist and publicist, a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1963). He held more than 20 solo exhibitions and was recognized as a master of landscape painting. His work encompasses various painting techniques, and he is known for his philosophical and poetic interpretation of nature.

Genadiy Polevoy (1927-2017) was a Ukrainian graphic artist and publicist.
1960 - graduated from the Kiev Art Institute, Department of Graphic Arts, studio of easel graphics of Professor A. S. Pashchenko. Teachers in his specialty - V. I. Kasyan, I. M. Plashchinsky, A. S. Pashchenko. He was a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1963).
Genadiy Polevoy is a legendary man. For more than half a century of daily labor he created thousands of unique artistic works. The author worked on some cycles of technically complex works for up to five years.
He held more than 20 solo exhibitions and was recognized as a master of landscape painting.
His work encompasses various painting techniques and he is known for his philosophical and poetic interpretation of nature. The artist's perfect professionalism allowed him to easily implement his creative ideas in any pictorial and graphic technique: oil, watercolor, linocut, tempera, drawing, mixed and special techniques of his own invention.
Most of Genadiy Polevoy's works are in museums, art galleries and private collections of Ukraine and different countries of the world - America, Europe, CIS. A large collection of the best works is in the Kiev Children's Academy of Arts.
