Gabriel Vuljevas

Gabriel Vuljevas Tupciauskas of Lithuanian origin, born in Montevideo, Uruguay on March 22, 1966, the son of an art teacher and a builder, his grandparents emigrated from Lithuania, between the World Wars, and settled in Uruguay, without forgetting the traditions and values of your contry. His painting has as its object a language, with which to transmit an aesthetic image, with social content, that achieves communication, through his own and original style, called: "CONTEMPORARY PRIMITIVISM", the result of the fusion of pictorial styles. The creation of this style had as its origin the studies of art manifestations of different ancient civilizations, combined with experiences from his own life and a special contact from his childhood with art magazines, of different styles, especially engravings of Lithuanian origin, which they form in his unconscious the bases of his distinctive style, which will later lead to a creative methodology and identity. Sculptor, painter and muralist, he has presented more than 300 shared and individual samples. At age 7 he wins his first prize in a children's painting contest.
