Step into another world—one we barely understand, yet are already beginning to exploit. This installation immerses you in a dark deep-sea realm, where neon and UV paint reveal hidden life forms. Fish with pulsating lines, jellyfish glowing like floating ghosts, and twisting octopuses emerge from the darkness as your blacklight traces their contours.
Thick mist drifts along the floor like deep ocean currents, while eerie sounds of surround you. What lives here? What remains unseen? And what are we destroying before we even comprehend it?

The serie ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM plays with perspective, humor, and underlying themes of discomfort and duality. At first glance, it is recognizable as an elephant, but upon closer inspection, the work reveals a playful and suggestive ambiguity. The fusion of forms challenges the viewer to reflect on perception and interpretation—what do we truly see, and what do we project onto the image ourselves?
The elephant’s eyes are recessed into the material, creating a mesmerizing effect. From every angle, the elephant’s gaze seems to follow you, resulting in an almost inescapable confrontation with the artwork. This enhances the meaning of the expression “elephant in the room”—an obvious and prominent subject that is often ignored or left unspoken.
By combining humor and provocation, the series succeeds in offering both levity and depth. The work invites discussion: is it merely a playful image, or a metaphor for societal issues we would rather not address?

This series of five artworks transforms a second-hand side table into an interactive tribute to nature. In its lowest position, the table serves as a functional piece of furniture. But in different positions, it reveals a deeper meaning—showcasing the delicate beauty of flowers and the relentless hunt of the Venus flytrap.
Each piece is painted in bold, vibrant colors, making the flowers, insects, and movements come to life. The intense hues amplify the energy of nature: the deep blue of the asters, the radiant yellow of the sunflower, and the striking purple of the asters create a dazzling explosion of contrast and color.
By combining recycled materials, vivid colors, and an interactive design, this artwork invites the viewer to explore the fragile balance of nature—sometimes harmonious, sometimes ruthless, but always vibrant and full of energy.

Biografie
Frank is een hedendaagse Nederlandse kunstenaar wiens werk urban art, pop art en neo-expressionisme combineert. Hij richt zich op het maken van kunst met gebruikte en weggegooide materialen, voornamelijk hout. Met een speelse en humoristische benadering onderzoekt Frank thema's als seks, de huidige tijdsgeest en hedendaagse gebeurtenissen. Zijn onderwerpen variëren van serieuze kwesties tot absurde onwaarschijnlijkheden, waaronder persoonlijke ervaringen uit zijn leven.
Hoewel hij zichzelf niet als de beste spreker beschrijft, en liever een laag profiel aanhoudt in discussies, is Frank een scherpzinnige observator van de wereld om hem heen. Hij gebruikt deze observaties als inspiratie voor zijn kunst, waarbij hij prioriteit geeft aan thema's die aanzetten tot nadenken boven het uiten van zijn eigen meningen. Centrale thema's in zijn werk zijn onder andere leven, vrijheid en gelijkheid.
Franks kunstwerken zijn tentoongesteld op verschillende shows in Nederland, Duitsland en de VS. Zijn stukken zijn geveild door Christie's en hij heeft deelgenomen aan opmerkelijke evenementen zoals KunstRai in Amsterdam. Daarnaast had hij een residency bij Sofitel Legend The Grand in Amsterdam. Verzamelaars van over de hele wereld zijn trots op zijn kunst, wat zijn impact op de hedendaagse kunstscene weerspiegelt.
