Sokol Nataly

Nataly Sokol was born at 1963 in Kronstudt.Now it is region of Saint-Petersberg.
Her childhood was going in Theodosia, town founded by Greeks in the 6th century B.C.,
where the gallery of the famous marin artist Aivazovsky is lokated. She studied at Theodosia
art school, which based in theese gallery.
Then she entered with distinction restoration art school in Saint-Petersberg, where
Nataly studied fresco paintings. After theese she has been graduated graduated of the
Academy of Art in Sankt-Petersberg. She has acted in the Academy of arts on architectural
faculty. The theme of its degree project was " Reconstruction of historical shape of Theodosia."
Then she worked as the architect in "Crimeaprojekt", but now is engaged only in painting.
Undoubtedly her art was influenced with traditions of classical
Saint-Petersberg school of water colour painting, but at the same time, her realistic style is
the product of her talent in color, composition, and control of this difficult medium.
The oil painting works which unfortunately has been not submitted on this site,
are executed in a realistic manner. During study in Academy Nataly copied works of
old masters, comprehending secrets of skill.
She is obliged to them by skilling to transfer a transparency of the sea, it depth,
it's warm or severe customs.
Favourite theme in her creativity, certainly, is the nature. Her current projects
include a continuing series inspired by the people and places of
East Crimea, villages near to the manor of Leo Tolstoy Yasnaya poliana, where she
sometimes carries out a part of summer, and Saint-Petersberg.
