Evgenii Seroshtan

Evgeny Seroshtan was born in 1969 in Smolensk. In 1987 he graduated from art school with honors. In 1992 he graduated from the painting and pedagogical department of the Bryansk Art College. In 1999 he graduated with honors from the faculty of icon painting of the Moscow Theological Academy. In the creative biography of the master, there are numerous paintings of churches and iconostases in Israel, Ukraine, Russia. Yevgeny considers the work on decorating churches in Ukraine in Kyiv to be a special period of his work, where he supervised a number of works and headed the icon-painting workshop. In icon painting Eugene follows the traditional Byzantine-Russian styles, technique and technology. In landscape painting and still life, he is attracted by impressionism, abstract impressionism. From 2016 to 2020, he led educational projects for icon painters and artists. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 2007. Participant and laureate of All-Russian and international exhibitions 2007-2022. Board member of the Sergiev Posad branch of the Union of Artists of Russia 2018-2023. Chairman of the creative commission on temple art. Since 2022 he has been living and working in Italy.
