Michel Zappy artiste, né à Strasbourg, France (Michel Zappy Durr), a étudié à l’École supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg.
Aujourd’hui s’il habite Montréal depuis maintenant plus de 25 ans et d’avoir vécu à Paris durant 14 ans (1981-1995), ses illustrations et peintures voyagent toujours d’un continent à l’autre.
L’intérêt des médias et du public pour son travail est manifeste ; les magazines parisiens Bloc-Notes et SVM Mac lui consacraient, en 2003 et en 2004, des articles présentant ses différents travaux.
En octobre 2008, le mensuel allemand Novum (Berlin) tenait également à souligner les mérites créatifs de l’artiste.
Depuis 2012 Michel s’intéresse davantage à ses propres oeuvres sur papiers et sur toiles.
Sur les supports papiers qu’il travaille minutieusement avec sa technique très particulière au crayon de couleur en ajoutant de l’ aquarelle, des glacis que ce soit à l’acrylique comme à l’huile.
Michel Zappy a exposé ces peintures dans des galeries et participer à de nombreuses expositions de groupe.

Michel Zappy artist, born in Strasbourg, France (Michel Zappy-Durr), studied at the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg.
Today he lives in Montreal for over 25 years and lived in Paris for 14 years (1981-1995), his illustrations and paintings always travel from one continent to another.
