Moaso Aier is a self-taught artist with over fourteen years of artistic practice. Early in her career, Moaso's work was influenced by classical realism, with a focus on precision, form, and detailed representation. However, during the course of her artistic journey, she has developed a style that is more intuitive, drawing strong inspiration from the spontaneity of Impressionist techniques, as well as the bold expressiveness of the Post Impressionist masters.
Moaso's work emphasizes the emotional resonance of color, light and texture. Her paintings often explore themes around people, animals and still life. Her primary work however, is centered around nature - how it shapes our moods, emotions and memories, highlighting the fragile balance between human life and the environment that sustains us.
Her works created with vibrant yet harmonious colours, and her subjects both timeless and relevant, have the ability to evoke a sense of nostalgia and longing.
Moaso Aier's academic background includes a degree in Economics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Archiving and Museology. This provides her with a unique perspective on art and it's preservation, ensuring that her works are made using only archival art materials and methods that will endure the test of time. Her favorite brands include Winsor and Newton, Van Gogh, Gamblin, Rembrandt, Caravaggio and Canson.
A doting mom to two kids, and currently residing in India, Moaso Aier has exhibited her work extensively, both in her home country and Internationally. Her paintings are in homes of private collectors across India, the USA, Germany, and Australia. She has also been featured in several art publications.
Additionally, Moaso has served as an Art Consultant and Art Advisor for various organisations, using her expertise to guide others in the art world. In her free time, she runs art workshops, driven by a desire to make a positive impact through her art and inspire others to explore their own creative paths.
