At the VMAs, Eminem and Snoop Dogg sang as their Bored Ape Yacht Club characters.

Eminem and Snoop Dogg performed their song "From the D to the LBC"

On Sunday, Eminem and Snoop Dogg performed at the MTV Video Music Awards as their Bored Ape Yacht Club characters. The duo performed their VMA-nominated song "From the D to the LBC" in Otherside, Yuga Labs' upcoming metaverse game, where players can use their Ape avatars if they have BAYC NFTs.

The game is inspired by online role-playing games

Otherside calls itself "a gamified, interoperable metaverse that is being built right now." The game takes ideas from both massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) and virtual worlds that can be accessed through the web3.

Single video and cover show Eminem and Snoop Dogg in their own BAYC avatars

"From the D to the LBC" came out as a single with a video at the end of June. Both the video and the cover art for the single show Eminem and Snoop Dogg as their own BAYC avatars. The video shows shots of the artists in real life and then shots of them as their BAYC avatars. Snoops Doggs' Ape has leopard print skin, a pink fur jacket, and a Screaming Eagles army helmet. Eminem's Ape wears a grey hat and gold chains.

Rappers Sell Merchandise From Their NFTs

The rappers are using the intellectual property rights that come with owning Bored Ape NFTs to sell NFT memorabilia from their VMA performance under the name Ape Editions. You can buy bobbleheads, skate decks, prints, and concept art for a new comic called Dynamic Return of Eminem & Snoop Dogg, which doesn't exist yet.
