Biography
Leonida Beltrame was born in Adria (Rovigo) in 1904. He lived most of his life in Venice, where he produced the most significant works. His career began in 1930. His art studies began under the guidance of the Accademia dei Borgognoni masters of Pavia, and paternal uncle Alberto Beltrame in Sanremo; he studied the "Nude" for six years at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice.
He has held numerous solo exhibitions. He was been a member of merit of Italian and foreign Academies. It was designated in national art commissions for public works. The main Italian Television Broadcast has dedicated a number of interviews and comments. He was awarded the Commandery of the Sovereign Hospitaller Order of St. George in Carinthia Office of Science in Rome. He received the award of Knight of Merit of the Italian Republic.
He died at his home of St. Helena in Venice in 1994.

Dal giovedì 4 luglio 2019 a venerdì 19 luglio un quadro di Leonida Beltrame sarà esposto nella mostra collettiva che si terrà nella prestigiosa sede di Palazzo Zenobio dal titolo "Lo stato dell'arte ai tempi della 58^ Biennale di Venezia".
L'opera esposta è "CHIESA ROMANICA A PORTONOVO" - 100x70 - 1972 Vedi scheda
L'esposizione sarà curata dal critico e storico dell'arte Giorgio Gregorio Grasso.
From Thursday 4 July 2019 to Friday 19 July a painting by Leonida Beltrame will be exhibited in the collective exhibition held in the prestigious Palazzo Zenobio entitled "The state of the art at the time of the 58th Venice Biennale".
The exhibited work is "ROMANIC CHURCH IN PORTONOVO" - 100x70 - 1972 OPEN
The exhibition will be curated by the critic and art historian of Giorgio Gregorio Grasso.
