About the author
Dominique Peri is a contemporary sculptor based in the Netherlands. He began his career as a bronze worker with Ali Nikiéma, a recognized artist in Burkina Faso. Peri has been at the head of a workshop at the National Center of Crafts and Art of Ouagadougou (VAO) since 2001. Today he has his own gallery, BURKIN'ART, where he displays his art.
Always searching for perfection, he works on movement and smoothness in a Burkina Faso ancestral art whose technique flawlessly balances the softness and malleability of wax with the hardness and sobriety of bronze. His works are equally classical as they are contemporary, and they are always marked by a desire to learn in the strength of their expression.
