Cédric Brion, artist photographer, was born in 1978 in the suburbs of Mons, Belgium, where he currently resides. From a young age, he was attracted to the visual arts, and at the age of 18, he began to explore his passion for photography. His first steps in this field were taken with a film camera, where he developed his photos himself in the darkness of his room.

It was his fascination with creating portraits in dark and mysterious atmospheres that marked the beginning of his artistic journey. Since his childhood, Cédric has always been captivated by fantastical and dark worlds, seeking to create portraits that transport viewers to imaginary universes. He considers his portraits as windows opening onto these extraordinary worlds.

For him, the darkness of the soul can reveal a deep, emotional clarity, unlike the bright light which can often dazzle. It is this quest for contrasts and emotions that drives his photographic work. He seeks to magnify darkness, capture its beauty and make it palpable through his portraits.

Cédric Brion also draws his inspiration from ancient civilizations, whose mysteries and symbolisms he explores through his art. His artistic approach is a reflection of his insatiable curiosity and his desire to transcend reality to create images that resonate in the imagination of spectators.

In addition to his passion for photography, Cédric broadened his field of skills by following artistic studies in applied arts and obtaining a qualification in Visual Arts. He continued his training at the Infac School of Photography in Brussels, where he perfected his photographic techniques.

His professional career also led him to become a photographer assistant at Frank Uyttenhove in Brussels, an enriching experience where he refined his know-how alongside a renowned professional.

In parallel with his career in photography, Cédric Brion broadened his artistic horizons by training as a graphic designer at Créaform. This artistic versatility allows him to approach visual creation from different angles, combining photography with other disciplines to give birth to original and captivating works.
