About the author
My name is Germán Suárez and I am a Catalan artist. I am focused, mainly, in graphite pencil works, although I also work with pastels, markers, colored pencils and sometime I also use watercolor paints. My principal themes are portraits and figure drawing.
I started to draw when I was a child, but I left it when I reach the 16-18 years. During more than 12 years I have been an amateur photographer, focusing my activity in portraits and nude art photography. A couple of years ago, due some health problems in my family, I had to leave photography for a time, and I thought that could be the moment to recuperate my old passion for drawing, using the same themes that, for a lot of years, were my works. So I started relearning to draw portraits, studying anatomy and, in the last few month's, I have started with figure drawing.
My art is, basically, realistic, but, with the time, I am trying to do more expressive works.
