Gérard Romain is a professional photographer. Inspired by Harald Mante for composition, Ernst Haas for shooting techniques, Saul Leiter for color, he has never stopped working on his own shooting and composition techniques to deliver, today, unique shots.
In his work he forces himself to retain the ephemeral, to exalt the everyday in an abstract and minimalist approach. He creates a link between painting and photography, without resorting to sophisticated image editing techniques.
Gérard Romain lives and works in Cannes (France). Interested very early in photography, he did not follow this path and branched off from it, without ever giving up his first passion. He has received numerous awards and his work is present in many private collections.
