Born and raised in İstanbul, the artist was admitted to Mimar Sinan University’s Department of Ceramic and Glass Design in 2005 and completed her degree in 2009 as the top among all students of the Faculty of Fine Arts. Using daily items such as spoons, knives, forks that are typically associated by womenhood, she combines mud with her personal humour under the light of Dadaism and Surrealism, to create a new aesthetic meaning beyond their functional and symbolic meanings. The work of the artist, who notes to surprise and amuse the observer is the ultimate source of inspiration, reveals that form explores imaginary friends and color explores an unforgotten memory. The artist who won prizes at the 69th National Art and Sculpture Competition and 11th Golden Amphora Ceramic Competion by the Rotary Club of İzmir. She continues her art in her in studio in Heybeliada, Istanbul.
