Dolgopolova Leriko

I am a contemporary Russian artist born in 1993 in Siberia (Tomsk). 

The turning point in my life was a trip to the far north, beyond the Arctic Circle. It is located in Russia, Murmansk region, the village of Teriberka. After that, I started painting. My compositions are about the power of nature of everything earthly, about the power of man.

I like the Chinese philosophy of the opposites of Yin and yang. Human nature is changeable. In winter we miss summer, in summer we want winter to come. Therefore, some of my paintings radiate serenity and tranquility, others expression and passion. But there is something that unites all my works. First of all, these are stories about life. More precisely, about the sensations, feelings, emotions of the human soul. I like to paint in mixed techniques. I love to combine and find shades. It gives me a sense of freedom, dynamics. Most of my paintings have texture. What creates an additional tactile impression.

I think covid and the temporary deprivation of physical experience influenced people's desire to possess something that can be touched, felt, and feel the energy of another person's hands. 

It is with great trepidation that I create modern interior paintings for people striving for self-expression and a high quality of life. My works are presented in private collections in Europe, America and Russia.
