It fascinates me a lot because, I can tell a lot about a person just by observing their body anatomy. This a 16 X 20 inches acrylic, charcoal and oil pastels on canvas painting.
Lase is a friend of mine that keeps dropping by my studio for the past 6 weeks, I have come to develop a sense of empathy for him by observing his body change slightly without any cause for alarm. I am able to understand that your choices and habits, can alter your body in ways an artist would be glad to capture. Even though I frequently see the tattoos on his body, I discovered that it gives off a illusion of new tattoos were added to his body of gallery.
I choose to represent him using oil pastel on canvas because of the vibrant colors and manipulative properties. I wish to elevate every body anatomy that falls below society’s standard of beauty, by painting them as sculptural statures of elegance.
