Chamley Fernando

He is a painter who spends his entire life. After retiring from 37 years of parliamentary service as an assistant principal officer, he is engaged in painting full-time, using many mediums such as oil paint, acrylic, watercolor and pencil drawings. However, he prefers to work in oil paintings, and besides, he has paintings of old Sri Lankan places of interest. He has been drawing for children's storybooks for some time. He has participated Room to Read Sri Lanka’s Creative Writers' and Illustrators' Workshop in 2015. All these have been created with the knowledge gained from several reputed painting academies in Sri Lanka. As an artist and a creator, he considers every creative project as a challenge to test his skills and manages to push his limits each time. His next hope is to hold an art exhibition soon..
