- About My Black Light Photos: Ultraviolet (UV for short) radiation, wavelength between 100 and 400 nm is called Beam. Our eye is sensitive to between 400 and 700 nm wavelengths and cannot detect lower wawelenghts. Since we perceive the smallest wavelength radiation we can see as purple, it is the beam that has a smaller wavelength than this. UV-A type ultraviolet light is very little visible light and its name Black Light. Black Light is invisible but can show something if you know how managed it.

As Dostoevsky wrote in Crime and Punishment, “Everything depends on the environment in which man lives: it is the environment that determines everything, and man is nothing.”
In our oversaturated visual world, we often experience this nothingness. Yet, with the right light, a figure or landscape transforms—finding its meaning in seconds.
For over 19 years, I have explored this transformation. I shape people with light, capturing how they change at every angle through natural light, artificial systems, and UV. Visible and invisible spectrums, machines that record light—these are my tools to reveal a new spirit beyond color, texture, and form.
I do not simply take portraits. I transfer my own soul into them. In each session, the subject’s identity collides with my vision. The process is fluid, unpredictable, alive. What emerges are photographs that are not just images, but emotions—elevated to an aesthetic experience through the seduction of poetics.
Photography has been my full-time pursuit for over 19 years. I started as an art journalist, discovered photography along the way, and opened my first studio in Istanbul in 2005. Since then, I have worked with international and domestic brands, exhibited across Europe, and mentored over 5,000 photographers.
In 2018, Sony Europe named me an Imaging Ambassador. Its 2025, every year since, they have renewed this recognition. But titles do not define me. What defines me is the relentless pursuit of light, the unseen, and the fleeting moment where everything aligns.
