Detective in Trouble (2024) 绘画 由 Attila Hornok

My name is Attila Hornok, I am a 55-year-old hobby painter from Hungary, a Central-Eastern European country. I started to draw and paint 40 years ago in high school, however after considering all my options, instead of attending an art college, I decided to pursue a career as a mathematician. But my special interest in painting and drawing has remained the same throughout the years.

I moved with my family (my wife and three children) to Scarsdale, NY, in 2018. We still live in this charming suburban village. I work for an international organization in NYC, but since my children are grown up now, I have time to paint again.

Many artists believe – and I am one of them - that a painting should always express a feeling or create an impression which is unique and hopefully remarkable in some way. So, in my art I try to paint not only what can be seen, but also a story behind that exact moment. I hope my paintings are able to show what are my feelings when I see something. A part of me is always represented on my artwork.  Those who follow my artistic journey will get to know me better and better with each and every painting.
