Biography
I was born in Almaty, and have always enjoyed viewing mountains around me.
I studied art in Baku, in Azerbaijan State Art Academy and in Moscow Surikov Institute, part of Russian Fine Art Academy. Some years I have spent living in Finland, practicing art as a free artist, and teaching painting, too.
My main inspiration is colour, I enjoy observing light, and how it affects the environment. I mainly work in oil colours, as they match my temperament, but I also have developed a taste for creating ceramic sculpture.
At times, I accept commissions, and in the winter season I may take some new students. I feel greatly inspired by art, and hope that more people share my joy for creation and contemplation.

Pearl sky
Sunset is quick, so I grab the colors to catch the last ray of light, but as always am finishing in almost complete darkness, so it's hard to tell which color I take... so. this work is to be enjoyed best in semi-darkness too))

weather in Almaty...
Fog creates a mystery atmosphere. In spring, it makes me pick the watercolors and be dreamy.
Today, it makes June dull gray, but my mood is mindful and concentrated. I walk to another mountain river, Bolshaya Almatinka, and just watch the day beginning, with its intense traffic, and people hurrying to work. But all I hear, and want to see, is the pouring stream.

Un plat du jour :) fresh study in oils
Spent a good couple of hours by Vesnovka river that runs downhill from mountains all across Almaty. Took some paints along.
