At the banquet, I had an interesting conversation with the monk. He shared that modern life in Europe and the USA often contradicts the religious worldview of the Bible. Most people today have become atheists. Society has seen the rise of open sexual relationships and the LGBT community. Over the past 30 years, drug use has increased. In the 21st century, the cult of "Big Money" dominates society.
Half a year later, when the war in Ukraine began, I bought Frédéric Beigbeder's book "A Life Without End." In this book, the author discusses modern life's complexities with a Catholic bishop. I read it in a bomb shelter during enemy shelling of my city. The ideas from this French writer and my conversation with the monk inspired me to create "The World Created by God."
I created this painting in April 2023. The characters in it symbolize key aspects of modern society:
Pablo Escobar represents the power of drugs in contemporary society.
Mr. Monopoly is the modern icon of capitalism.
Pablo Picasso symbolizes modern art, contrasting with classical 19th-century art.
A BDSM couple represents the freedom of sexual relationships.
The biblical demon Mammon, juggling bitcoins (cryptocurrency), symbolizes capitalism's new heights on the internet.
Jesus Christ symbolizes eternal Christian values in the modern world.
I hope that every viewer of my painting experiences new positive emotions and gains interesting thoughts about the meaning of modern human life.

Each painting displayed on this platform bears witness to a tumultuous period in Ukrainian history, painted amidst the chaos of war from March 2022 to November 2023. Despite the constant threat of enemy bombardment, I persevered, drawing inspiration from the adversity of my surroundings. Much like Picasso in wartime Paris, I risked life and limb to produce captivating surrealist works that speak to the resilience of the human spirit amidst conflict.
