Right now, there are those among us who show the greatest strength and courage. Men and girls defending the homeland with weapons and a scalpel in their hands. And in their rear - mothers, fathers who cover children with their bodies - the future of the country. In defense of lives.
Berehynia, as an archetype of a woman, fights for every life for which she is responsible.
At the heart of the paintings are images that recreate the first 6 days of God's creation of the world, the victory of light over darkness and emptiness:
Day 1: and God made a division between the light and the dark. And there was evening and there was morning.
Day 3: Let grass come up on the earth, and plants producing seed;
Day 5: And God made great sea-beasts, and every sort of living and moving thing
Day 6: Let the earth give birth to all sorts of living things, cattle and all things moving on the earth, and beasts of the earth. At the end of 2021 I started to teach drawing in a children's creative studio. From the beginning of 2022 a new stage in my art began - the study of the archetypes of women. My research has always turned me towards cultural peculiarities and traditions of the Ukrainian people.. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine I've continued to reveal the potential of Ukrainian traditional symbols in combination with modern forms and themes.
