Le cirque 拼贴 由 Ann Buyse

As a child I loved experimenting with colours and I loved drawing and writing. But it was only when I lived in Africa and I gave birth to my first child, in Zimbabwe, inspired by motherhood and the golden African light and vegetation, that I started to paint. Later on, when I moved back for a short while to Belgium, I took plastic art courses at the academy of Leuven and I continued taking painting, drawing and ceramic courses at the academy of Carcassonne and with private painters and ceramists.

Expression of emotions, thoughts and sensations is, for me, the main objective in my art. It is the expression of my inner life.

I am born in 1974 in Belgium and a mother of three children. I live and work both in Belgium and the South of France. I also have a practice as a therapist. I have a masters degree in medical sociology from the faculty of medicine in Leuven and I am a systemic therapist and an art-therapist (Université Le Mirail Toulouse).
