The image Compassion represents three human beings in the centre. They are enclosed in a spherical container. The three bodies, protected by the sphere, are surrounded from the outside, to the right by an aggressive red form, and left positively influenced by the green-yellow forms. The globe is held in suspension, supported by wavy green-ocher coloured structures. The chaotic upper part of the picture completes the surroundings of the beleaguered sphere. The "sphere beings" generate in the viewer emotional sympathy or compassion for the curved trapped. The viewer learns by imaginative identification with the abstract representation to enter into unknown situations or to see other aspects than his own.

Naissance : 1943 à Goldach (Suisse).
Études : Chimie et Biochimie.
Profession : Biochimiste, recherche pharmaceutique (en retrait)
Artiste peintre : Autodidacte, tableaux en huile et acrylique.
Plusieurs expositions en Suisse et en France dans les années soixante et soixante-dix ont me stimuler de continuer de peintre après mon retrait en 2007.
