Valera Samarine was born in 1964 in Khimki, Moscow region. After graduating from high school, he entered the Moscow Aviation Institute Sergo Ordzhonikidze. Sergo Ordzhonikidze. In 1992, he entered the ZNUI (People's University of Arts by correspondence). He studied with masters such as Rustam Agasyants, Alexei Vasiliev, Alexander Slyusarev, Alexander Lapin.
Member of the Union of Photographic Artists of Russia since 1994, winner of Russian and international photographic competitions, participant in photographic exhibitions, member of the photographic club "Novator". Worked in the central photography laboratory of the MAI. He has been teaching since 2000. Chief engineer of the MAI.Publications in the magazines Photo Video, Photodelo, Portfolio, books: A. Lapin "Photography as...", Svetlana Pozharskaya "Photographer's School" and "Gallery of photomasters", A. Vershovsky "Discovery of plane . Street photography. Book one".Reads a course in black and white photography and the basics of composition.His works are part of private collections in Russia, the Polish Republic, Lithuania, Germany, France, Belgium and the United States, as well as from the collection of the "Russian Museum" (St. Petersburg), Galerie Esther Woerdehoff (Paris), PDNB Gallery (Dallas, United States), Russian Museum of Photography (Nizhny Novgorod).
