Born in Milan, where she currently lives and works, in 1978 she moved to Finland, to Helsinki, where she worked in Pi Sarpaneva's studio as an assistant.
From 1979 to 1983 he spent a period in Holland collaborating with the Mickey Theater in Amsterdam. He later took part in the courses of the Institut Superieur Van der Kelen Logelain Reunis in Belgium, continuing his stylistic research. In 1986 he returned to Milan and graduated in decoration at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. She then began working as a decorator in public and private environments, and in ceramics and restoration at the Valentino Arienti laboratory.
He participates in numerous biennials, personal and collective exhibitions both in Italy and abroad.
In recent years he has dedicated himself to a process of elaboration of his own painting as a search for a universal language of forms, creating, among other things, various editions of Artist's Books. Her intellectual and civil commitment brings her closer to the poets Giulio Stocchi and Giacomo Trinci: she creates a cycle of works inspired by Giulio Stocchi's poem "In wartime", and with the poems by Giacomo Trinci an edition of engravings inspired by the fragments poems of Pinocchio in verse: "Autobiography of a puppet", and a series of collages that will then give life, in 2004 to the exhibition "Pinocchio's Astroscopy" at the Carlo Collodi National Foundation, in 2005 at the Castello Sforzesco in Vigevano, in 2010 at the Centro Arte Alameda Santiago del Chile and in 2012 again to the Carlo Collodi National Foundation.
The last work with Giulio before his untimely death is "Mare Nostrum", an exhibition dedicated to the drama of migrants in the Mediterranean sea composed of poems, drawings, engravings and the video "Extra", a song by Reggaemotion always on this theme. The exhibition took place in Bussero thanks to the local ANPI section and the Spazio Solidale Association, followed by the Milan Chamber of Labor and the Antonio Gramsci Association in Ghilarza in Sardinia.
Through a long archiving work in the studio of her father, Arch. Roberto Menghi, Veronica has also made a documentary film: "The Thin Red Thread of Memory", based on the life and works of Menghi, which was recently re-proposed at the Arlecchino Cinema of Milan together with various other works of his, as part of the redevelopment project of the cinema itself, where important artists and professionals of Milan in the 60s left their mark.
All the video works were made with the collaboration of the singer and author Daniela Soria for editing and soundtracks.
Veronica Menghi's works have been reviewed by various critics and art historians including Rossana Bossaglia, Massimo Recalcati, Fabio Trazza, Claudio Cerritelli and Jean Blancheart.
