Richard Adusu is a contemporary Ghanaian artist whose journey in the art world began with his diploma from The Ghanatta College of Arts and Designs. Over the years, Adusu has dedicated himself to practicing and experimenting, leading him to discover his unique style and voice within the artistic community.
Using unconventional tools such as a self-made tattered brush, Adusu creates captivating artworks that tell true stories of the African diaspora. His preferred mediums of oils or acrylics mixed with modeling paste allow him to add depth and texture to his canvases. Adusu's portraits are highly texturized, crafted with smatterings of modeling paste and acrylics or oils, aiming to mimic the complexities of life and the beauty that arises from them.
