The world appears to me as a gigantic transmitter of signals that we decode using our senses and which allows us to represent our reality. We only perceive a tiny part of the forces at work in this immense universe. We know this thanks to devices that allow us to have access to these other levels of reality such as energy, gravity, bacteria, magnetism, ultrasound or pheromones. But we only have our senses to apprehend them directly and language to conceptualize them.
I like to think that despite our limits, our senses and our mind offer us an infinity of possible experiences and that among this infinity, there are keys somewhere to make the beauty of the world accessible to us. through my research, by arranging shapes, lines and colors in new orders, by exploring the structure of subjects through drawing, by confronting them with forms that produce meaning, I try to make possible universes perceptible .
It is in this state of mind that I revisit the notion of Percept, a term borrowed from Gilles Deleuze, French philosopher and art theorist, and this in a very simple way: like cooking recipes, chemical formulas or visual algorithms.
Each Percept is a kind of visual theme declined on different media and in different forms, each contains its own formal logic and its own evocations.
