Und so können Sie sich vielleicht meine Verwunderung vorstellen, als beide nun dieser Tage meinen präfrontalen Kortex besuchten. Ob es gerade wirklich dort war, wo sie sich rumlümmelten, weiß ich nicht genau, aber da das meines Wissens der Ort ist, an dem Phantasie entsteht, vermute ich, dass sie sich eben dort niedergelassen haben. Sollte jemand sachdienliche Hinweise haben, trifft er/sie bei mir auf offene und frischgewaschene Ohren und Augen, wobei ich aber auch nicht genau weiß, ob Phantasie entsteht oder eigentlich immer da ist und sich mitunter nur versteckt. Kennen Sie sich da vielleicht aus?
Jedenfalls sah ich ein Schaf, wie es dasaß, ein wenig bedeppert, naiv vielleicht, wie man es ihm ja bekanntlich nachsagt, möglicherweise aber auch nur absolut tiefenentspannt und etwas bekifft.
Ähnlichkeiten mit rosaroten Wölkchen schleichen sich in meine Gedanken.
Ganz offenbar zeigt sich die Hingezogenheit zu dem Maulbeerbaum, der vor dem Schaf mit seiner Schönheit prahlt. Wobei es natürlich nicht jedem gegeben ist, dieses Schöne zu sehen. Aber wenn Sie, geneigter Leser / geneigte Leserin, es bis hier geschafft haben, bin ich zuversichtlich, dass Sie diese Gabe haben ;)
Der Maulbeerbaum scheint sich zu freuen, genießt die Aufmerksamkeit und bietet seine Früchte an. Süß sollen sie schmecken, manchmal aber auch herb, geradezu süchtig machen sie, so sagt man. Die Bestimmung des Maulbeerbaumes aber, so sagen die Menschen, die meinen, das beurteilen zu können, sei es, dem Seidenspinner Nahrung zu geben, auf dass er sich verpuppen könne.
Den Rest kennen Sie, wir – in dem Falle auch gerne im majestätischen Plural – spinnen rum und machen Seide, legen unser müdes Köpfchen auf das Kissen und träumen von Schmetterlingen, vergessen Schaf und Baum, bis sie uns in unseren Träumen wieder erscheinen. So oder so, schlafen Sie gut und achten Sie auf die Schafe und Bäume und all das, was Ihnen sonst noch so begegnet.

For Rea Schenk, art is a way of dealing with the unspeakable . An opportunity to question common categories and appropriately re-establish them. As an engineer, she is a career changer in the art scene. Certainly not by chance and for various reasons, she has found digital art to be the right thing for her at the moment, but is increasingly experimenting in combination with traditional techniques. For them, technology is not a narcissistic violation of their boundaries, but rather an extension and help to express what other languages do not allow. Original photographs change, are sometimes discarded, rearranged, processed using very different techniques and, increasingly, completely painted over. Rea chooses the path that always wants something more, looks for something in between. Who seeks to capture the atmospheric, what cannot be said.
WHO?
Woman, artist and technician, born in Berlin in 1969. Graphic design was my passion early on, but I didn't have the courage for a long time. In addition to graphic work for small museums, clubs, musicians and small agencies, the path initially went into technology. As an engineer, I returned to CAD and my passion through technical drawing and photography.
