everyone:
for thousands of Ukrainians who have lost their
loved ones, their plans, hopes. For a large
ingenious layer of world culture: the Russian
world. For Russians hoping for a normal
democratic future for their country and
prosperity. For the Russian Vatniks who want
to kill and destroy, the capture of Kiev and
executions. For the rest of the world, seeing
how mentally retarded Russia unleashed a
senseless aimless last war in Europe.

Mikhail Sol is a contemporary Russian painter whose artistic journey was deeply influenced by the challenges he faced in his early years. At the tender age of five, Mikhail experienced the departure of his father, who joined a religious sect and left the family. This pivotal event left a lasting impression on Mikhail and became a recurring theme in his artwork.
Mikhail's passion for painting emerged during his childhood and blossomed into a profession after completing studies at a children's art school. At the age of 15, he created his first lino print, drawing inspiration from Goya's renowned series "Los caprichos."
In 2008, Mikhail embarked on formal art education at the Vladivostok Art College, where he later became a teacher of fine arts. His artistic journey reached new heights when he gained admission to the prestigious Ilya Repin St. Petersburg State Academic Institute for Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture in 2014. The academy provided Mikhail with access to a wealth of knowledge and opened doors to a new world of artistry.
Throughout his career, Mikhail has actively participated in plein-airs and exhibitions, showcasing his talent and versatility as an artist. His notable achievements include the acquisition of his painting "The Interior of A.S. Pushkin's Study" by the Mikhaylovskoye Museum Reserve in 2016 and an exhibition organized at the Museum-Flat of A.I. Kuindzhi in Alupka town, Crimea.
In his artistic exploration, Mikhail initially focused on mastering the painting techniques of the Old Masters, prioritizing the depiction of materiality and three-dimensional space. However, as his skills evolved, he delved deeper into expressing thoughts and emotions through his art. Mikhail's repertoire encompasses a diverse range of subjects, including historical, religious, mythological, and social themes, all interpreted through the lens of his unique perspective.
Today, Mikhail's paintings are cherished in the collections of esteemed institutions such as the Academy of Arts and the Mikhaylovskoye Museum Reserve, as well as private collections in Russia, Canada, China, and Germany.
