Michael Loeb, born in 1964, is a German artist. He lives and works near Koblenz on the Rhine. His oil paintings appear vibrant, striking and full of humor.

The artistic journey began when he was a child. His grandfather recognized his talent for painting and gave him his first knowledge of oil painting.

Since 1996, what was once a hobby has become a profession. Inspired by the fine and precise painting of old masters, he developed his passion for realistic representation in his paintings.

Initially, he designed motifs for art publishers for many years - predominantly floral pictures, still lifes and nudes. One day he was commissioned to paint a car collector's vintage car, which gave him access to this scene and also to car manufacturers, as well as to the Formula 1 racing scene and its sponsors. He presented his automotive art at numerous car events in Europe and the USA over the years. Numerous images are owned by manufacturers, sponsors and car collectors.

And again it was a customer's order that caused him to change course. The large-scale production of a "Donald Duck" - Painting was well received and this time led him into the world of Pop Art. But unlike the multiple collages made of comics, writing and logos, his paintings consist of the creation and representation of humorous scenes from comics and realism, which often contain a bit of irony and therefore lead to an emotional reaction in the viewer, namely a smile.

Until his serious illness in December 2019, he was represented in a gallery in Copenhagen, among other places.

His humor and the strong Passion for painting helps him not to give up. During this time he developed many new ideas and has already implemented some of them. With these he is now returning to the art scene.

He is also happy to create an individual work of art for you upon request.
