Lyssandre Saint York is a contemporary French artist and designer, self-taught for 15 years but always creative. Immersed in art and creation from a young age through his family, he developed a deep passion for artistic expression. He attended art school and subsequently studied art and interior decoration, laying a solid foundation for his future endeavors.
During a transformative trip to the USA, Lyssandre was captivated by the illuminated cities, which appeared to exist in another dimension both day and night. This experience inspired him to recreate this magical ambiance in people's daily interiors through innovative decoration. He began by sketching ideas and developing his first model. Since then, his concept has evolved into more than fifty models, with Lyssandre serving as the designer, creator, and manufacturer.
Lyssandre's work features an innovative, luminous design concept in five dimensions, enhancing spaces such as villas, hotels, and restaurants. His international clientele spans Europe and the USA, and he collaborates with architects and decorators to bring his unique visions to life.
In 2020, Lyssandre decided to explore new artistic horizons, a natural progression in his career. A lifelong fan of pop art and street art culture, he began creating artworks based on Lego Minifigures. These creations, imagined, assembled, and customized by hand, feature Star Wars-themed paintings and displays that integrate luxury brands like Hermes, Vuitton, and Dior, along with video game icons such as Mario Bros and Disney's Scrooge McDuck.
Lyssandre's unique creations also include limited edition showcases that depict the world of Banksy, the musical realm, and the fusion of the iconic Be@rbrick figures. His 3D works with pop street sculptures further demonstrate his versatility. Utilizing various techniques, including painting, airbrushing, air spray gun, collage, and stenciling, Lyssandre continues to push the boundaries of contemporary art, making a significant impact on the art and design world.
