Tuscan artist born in Livorno in 1962, after studying in Pisa and at the Academy of Art in Florence and a 'classical' start he arrived at art and the American underground, collecting public and critical acclaim with his exhibitions around Europe and the United States, confirming himself as one of the most interesting artists on the contemporary art scene. Since 1994 and' artistic director of the Visual Arts sector at the cultural association "Atelier delle Arti" of Livorno, where he teaches painting and drawing. Present with a personal exhibition at the MUMI Museo Michetti in Francavilla in 2007.
The dress as a symbol, makes the history of the person, distinguishes races and nationalities... Luca Bellandi's artistic research is intertwined with the discovery of a America still to be explored, land of the feeling of post-modern man. Luca Bellandi finds in everyday life and in nature a type of painting that makes gesture and color the most intense expression of an intimate way of feeling. His last artistic period condenses the essence of his work which synthesizes painting and writing, uniting different historical times. The figures are deliberately excluded, their stories are told by what they wear, what they use, through the objects that define them.
