It is very common from cultural tradition and art to consider a perfect face, body, objects and landscapes based on the idea of symmetry. Asymmetrical things are in some cases ugly or unbalance. This kind of concepts have change eventually because we are surrounded by a new kind of aesthetics which challenge the classical idea from Renaissance of proportion and symmetry. Nature by itself is almost never symmetrical rather most creations of nature are of this kind, but is human eye who creates symmetry when we perceive nature as perfect and balance. Nowadays our artificial well ordered world has became a distortion of balance and symmetry and nature appears to be the opposite. In Japan the cult for spring blossoming of the cherry trees has become a tradition, gardens of contemplation are all over the country, the perfection on every detail in this landscape created by human hand is awesome. Wise Japanese observation of nature had taugth them how to make it in a way that looks casual.
Since Renaissance symmetry and proportion was perceived such as an asset for beauty. A symmetrical face, body, object or landscape was art was based on this idea of balance. Ugliness belongs to unbalance or asymmetrical things, beings or people. Nowadays our technology creates all series of objects that most of them are symmetrical with an idea of perfection and balance. Nature in the oposite hand creates things by the combination of many factors and not necessarily balance or symmetrical, it just occurs by chance. Japanese culture for contemplation gardens and landscapes created by human hand look naturally created and casual, but, they are wisely and carefully made to look that way. Human eye can create aesthetics and art based on the same concepts. It looks natural after a long way of perfect apparent creation. The painting I presented here looks natural, but, in many ways for some eyes maybe results too much. The beauty is not based on the appearance but on the idealization.
