I continue the topic of discarded photos…I live in a fairly old house built in the 60s of the last century…If earlier people living in the same house knew each other, now everyone has become almost strangers to each other…Apartments began to be sold, given up, people began to change their places of residence more often…People die, are born, get married, get married, children, wives, husbands, mothers-in-law, mothers-in-law, grandparents...everything flows and everything changes in life…Last week, someone apparently died in the next doorway...and as usual, relatives or new owners of the apartment appear and begin repairs. Previously of course they clean the old apartment from already unnecessary things…There are no previous owners, and the new "junk" is not needed. So this time, the workers doing the repairs took out everything unnecessary and dumped it in a pile near the entrance. A container with garbage will arrive, and then everyone will be thrown into it. I saw an old desk drawer in the pile and asked for it from a nearby worker. He handed it to me without a word. In the drawer were some small things and an old photograph. The photo is most likely from the 20-30s of the 20th century…It's got a family on it. A husband, a wife, and two boys very similar to each other. On the back is the signature " Romanenko»…
... I could not throw out everything that was in the box...and I made an assemblage of what was in the box, adding something from myself…He called it "Sons". What happened you see...it's a pity, of course, that someone so easily parted with the memory. I took it and threw it away and my heart didn't skip a beat…We come into this world with nothing and leave with nothing. After us, only the memory remains, and then, probably, not for long...Life is still as beautiful and merciless…
